University application deadlines may vary based on the intake. Fall (most popular intake) applications usually start from September (early deadlines) and go on till April (final application deadlines) with the peak being around January. Many students are confused about when college applications are due. Many universities require you to apply before the early deadline, to be eligible for scholarships. So it’s always recommended to apply early.
What is Fall Intake?
The Fall Intake usually starts in the month of September and ends in the month of December. The fall intake is considered one of the best intakes as most universities accept applications during this time. The fall intake is specifically famous for MBA applicants and other full-time courses. Early applicants can also receive discounts on application fees and multiple scholarship options.
Why Fall Intake is Preferred?
Amongst the three types of admission intakes, the fall intake is relatively preferred majorly by aspirants for the following reasons:
- The myriad of courses offered during the Fall intake is the biggest advantage. There is a range of options available than in Spring.
- Going for the Fall Intake means being able to be involved in student organizations where leaders are elected at the end of the Spring Semester. If a student joins during that time then he/she will not have much time to show their real potential and capability to other student voters.
- Early applications increase chances of Scholarships and financial aid. These are normally lesser in other intakes.
- For the fall intake, the college session would begin around September which is approximately 2-3 months after the usual completion of one’s previous degree. This means that you wouldn’t be wasting any time between degrees.
What is Fall Intake?
By June and July, most results of previous degrees are out, however that may give many students little time to become involved and to get ready for the fall intake that generally begins in September. The intake of spring or the spring intake is a good choice for such students. Each year, for all programs, most international institutions offer two admission intakes. The fall semester starts in the month of September, and finishes in the month of December, whereas the Spring semester starts in January and ends in May. That said, usually speaking, the Springtime limits are hovering around July/August.
Summer Intakes
Summer Intakes are usually available for limited programs in few colleges. You may consider getting enrolled into some short-term (diploma and certificate) courses in Summer Intakes and then apply for a fall intake in top colleges for higher chances of getting selected and adding something to your resume. Apart from these programs, you may also consider taking admission in some distinct undergraduate and postgraduate courses as well.
Rolling Admissions
Rolling Admissions are present in some global academic institutions that offer admissions around the year. That doesn’t take the pressure off completely as the applications will be open only until all spots have been filled. Most of these universities are known for their flexible application acceptance policy that makes it easier for the students to apply for various courses without worrying about the intake session.
