The majority of foreign universities have two intakes in September and January, with some accepting the third intake in April or May.

1. United States Intake
If you are applying for US universities/colleges, there are 3 intakes. They are
- Fall Intake – September to December
- Spring Intake – January to April
- Summer Intake – May to August
2. Canadian Universities Intake
If you are applying for Canadian universities/colleges, there are 3 intakes. They are;
- Fall Intake – September to December
- Winter Intake – January to May
- Spring Intake – May to August
3. United Kingdom Universities Intake
If you are applying for United Kingdom universities/colleges, there are 2 intakes. They are
- January/February Intake – June and September
- September Intake – February and May
4. Australian Universities Intake
If you are applying for Australian universities/colleges, there are 2 intakes. They are;
- Semester 1 – October-November
- Semester 2 – July
Process for applying to International colleges/universities
It’s best to get going as soon as possible. Begin by determining which course is best for you – make a list of your strengths and interests, and then look for courses that match your present qualifications. Begin your research as early as one 1-year advance to ensure you succeed in your application process.
Visit the websites of eligible universities to learn about their application methods, prerequisites, deadlines, and tuition fees. Learn about the several types of financial aid and scholarships that are available, as well as how to apply for them.
2. Take the mandatory examinations
Almost every university and college requires IELTS or other certified English language competence test scores.
A GRE, GMAT or SAT score may also be required for some programs. Check the approved scores for the schools you want to apply to and begin preparing as early as 9 months prior to the application process start date. Set aside some time in case you need to take the test again.
